Label – An Essential Logistics Document

A label is a piece of paper attached that is fixed to the parcel. It specifies the origin and destination of the parcel along with its contents.

A label refers to the piece of paper that is attached to the parcel or order and contains information about the details of order. They are an essential part of eCommerce, which is why the businesses must not mess them up, especially when they are shipping multiple products. Incorrect shipping labels can lead to a costly affair, and prevent your packages from being delivered. Shipping label consists of information that is important for the courier company to take the parcel and deliver it to the customer’s doorstep.

Some of the important information present on the label includes postal code, tracking number, order number, weight of the parcel, shipping address, contents of the package etc. Label might also include the information related to the kind of shipping used for delivering the parcel such as expedited shipping, standard delivery etc.
