Difference Between WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business

WhatsApp is the most widely used free, secure, and feature-rich messaging app. With 1.5 billion users, it is the most popular messenger. Businesses have begun using WhatsApp accounts to engage customers via chat. This pushed WhatsApp to build WhatsApp Business, a standalone app for businesses. How does WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business differ?

WhatsApp Business was created specifically for small, local businesses. It provides features that assist micro and small enterprises in establishing a WhatsApp presence and communicating with clients using their preferred messaging platform. It’s essentially a more advanced version of WhatsApp with more functionality than the original app.

WhatsApp Business has a new logo that features the letter B.

Business Account Notifications

When you write to or receive your first message from a customer, they will notice a note in the chat that says, ‘This chat is with a business account.’ ‘Tap for additional information.’

WhatsApp Business Profile

In comparison to regular WhatsApp, where you simply have a cover photo, name, and description, the profile page in WhatsApp Business is greatly improved. WhatsApp Business has the following features:

  • Cover photo Description of the work area
  • Hours of work
  • Include a link to your website.
  • Catalogue of products
  • When clients contact you on WhatsApp, the first thing they see is your business profile. Make sure you fill out all required fields and dress in vivid colours.

WhatsApp Product Catalog

The product catalogue function allows you to set up an online store for your company. You can add images, descriptions, pricing, and a code to your items and services. Customers will be able to get a fast overview of your products and services, and you will be able to share specific products in the chat.

Messaging Automations

WhatsApp Business comes equipped with messaging automation which will save you time and help you create efficient communication with your customers. It has three messaging automation:

  • WhatsApp Away message automatically responds to customers if they write to you in a period you have marked as unavailable.
  • As the name states, the WhatsApp Greeting message greets your customers when they initiate a conversation and write to you.
  • WhatsApp Quick replies let you create templates which you can use while chatting. These are common answers or phrases which you will be able to access and send out by entering the symbol in the chat.

With their help, you will be able to send messages faster, inform people when you are away and greet them when they send you the first message.

WhatsApp Labels

WhatsApp labels organise and visually identify your consumers according to the brands you create. It allows you to quickly determine each customer’s current communication stage and locate chats and texts. WhatsApp will give you five preset brands, but you may create new ones by changing the label name and colour.

WhatsApp Business Statistics

Statistics is an excellent tool for determining the efficiency of your WhatsApp Business account as a communication tool and customer interaction statistics. It provides a summary and number of the following chats:

  • Sent messages
  • Delivered messages
  • Messages received
  • Messages read

It’s a useful little tool for determining how popular WhatsApp Business is as a communication channel for your organisation.
